New version 4.7

Postby cbl on Mon Oct 12, 2009 2:55 pm

The new version of HDAT2 is now 4.7 from 09.10.2009.
Can be downloaded from http://www.hdat2.com/.

I am sorry, device tests are still disabled (next version).

BUG: I found a bug in setting for new SCT read/write timer command,
I forgot remove a debug statement and it will set timer value to zero.
I am sorry, I will correct this today.

I dont understand what these "tests" are that is disabled.
Does 4.7 work if I want to scan a harddrive and check for errors, or is this what you call tests?

I tried 4.7 on a harddrive and it went through it very fast, perhaps it is suppose to, but I dont know if it actually did anything, it didnt find any errors on the disk.

All tests in "Device Tests Menu" are disabled.
I need more time to finish (write up all procedures).

On CD in folder HDAT2 is an older version 4.5.3 which you can use for testing
to find bad sectors.
