Controller failure in scan a few sector, how to repair?

a segate 20G HDD, only a few sector is bad, when I use HDAT2 scan it, there is report on screen, "controller failure". how to repair it ?

total LBA: 39102336
bad LBA :451032 to 452002, no other bad.

You can try this:

- in parms (key P) select
Type of testing - wipe
First sector = 451032
Last sector = 452002
Number of retry on error = 0
Use device reset on error = disable or enable

Be carefully on setting - WIPE function overwrite all sectors with pre-selected pattern 'HDAT'.

If you even got a message "controller failure", that means these bad sectors are really "bad" and is not possibly their repair on SW level.

erase wait from
First sector = 451032
Last sector = 452002
- in mhdd 4.0 version.

this HDD can't use mhdd repair , when use mhdd scan those bad sector, it would lost respond. As CBL's say, these bad sector must write P-list. :(
