HDAT2 reboots my computer

Postby cosullivan on Sat Dec 20, 2008 2:08 am

Hi,

I have a Dell XPS 1730 (has 2 hard drives on a RAID card). I use the boot ISO and load with no drivers, then I run TOOLS.BAT and select option 3 to load all drivers from here. Both of my HDD's now show up and I can navigate through them. However, when I attempt to run HDAT2 my machine simply reboots.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

Hi,

which version are you using (4.5.3 or beta version 4.6)?

I have exactly the same problem on a DELL Inspiron 1720. As soon as I type hdat2 or anything, the system reboots. I'm using 4.5.3.

Hi,

I have tested all versions (4.5.2, 4.5.3 and beta 4.6)
with notebook Acer and Fujitsu and with many HP notebooks
and I didn't get any errors. Sorry, not with Dell...

Did you try to start the last beta version 4.6b3?

Please, try to run:

- beta version 4.6
- a demo version HDAT2DEM.EXE
- any program version with parametr /? (eg. hdat2 /?)

If you still get an error (restart) send me
an e-mail and I will prepare a debug version
of some EXE programs.

I hope we will find the problem.
