Inaccessible WD1200JB-75CRAO

Postby Deave on Thu Aug 04, 2005 7:10 pm

I have a WD drive that spins but is not detected by either bios, WD Data Lifeguard, MHDD or HDAT2. I've tried swithing the PCB with that of another WD1200JB, although not the exact same. Again, the drive spins up but it is not detected by any of the utilities I've mentioned above. Perhaps it is the PCB, I'm trying to find a PCB that more closely matches. The issue is not related to my motherboard or the setup becasuse I'm able to access many other drives on the same system. Any thoughts on what might be going on would be appreciated.
