HDAT2 forum

Hi,
I have a desktop PC
ASUS 5PK SE latest bios
Pioneer 115bk dvd rw
Lite On DVD
Vista Ultimate SP1 all updates installed
HDD Samsung Spinpoint F1 320GB

I cannot run HDAT2... it boots from the CD iso I made, but does not start saying that the CD drive letter is not found.

It ends in a commando prompt A\:.... I do not have floppy in my PC and no A drive.

DVD RW Pioneer has letter E
Liteon have G

I tried to goolge but many has same issue but could find solution...

Samsung's ES Tool has same issue... buT HDat" works on my laptop...
I think issue is either ASUS or maybe some wrong "settings"
Both DVD are set to boot priority in Bios
Any help please?

Hi,

I think you are using older version 4.5.3.
Try to download beta version 4.6, there is better support for
ATA and SATA CD drive.
Let me know if it works.

Still "wrong cd drive letter"...
I have the latest Bios for ASUS and there is no problem booting other thing
that HDAT2 and Samsung ESTool

Must be something else. I burned iso image 2 times same result

This is info for other users:
the problem is solved with CD driver for Pioneer CD/DVD drive only.
