New features

It would be interesting to have a S.M.A.R.T file dumping feature with
binary/hex output because some vendor specific logs are too large to
be displayed (out of memory). That would help a lot with comparisons.

Are there any plans for implementing SMART WRITE LOG SECTOR (D6h)
or firmware flashing feature (altought some are vendor specific) ? Maybe
a scripting option for entering direct ATA commands and sending data/file.

Thanks.

Hi,

1. dump of SMART logs in binary format
hex dump and save you can do in SMART-LOG DUMP menu
binary output: yes, I can do that in the next version, but binary dump is included
in BIX file (created in "Dump/Save to File Menu + Save DEBUG Data",
with HDAT2DEM.EXE and command parameter /G you can read this BIX file, see help /?)

2. SMART write log sector - it is used in SMART selective self test already
(internally only)

3. scripting - I am sorry, it is a long way for now, I am too busy in office.
